We’re embracing the party season this afternoon, just perfect for a Friday me thinks. I mean how many of you are about to head off to enjoy your work Christmas do, are in the midst of planning your Christmas Eve drinks or New Years Eve celebrations? It ties in perfectly with those of you hoping to have a cracking evening affair at your wedding too.
This editorial shoot totally captures the spirit of a fun get together and glamorous cool party times. Think a feast to end all feasts, an uber cool couple, divine styling and sweet treats to name a few. Florals feature heavily, including the epic hoop backdrop above, not to mention a selection of refreshing cocktails. All the ingredients for the best party that’s for sure.
Many thanks to Three Flowers Photography for the brilliant shots and to stylists Starry Eyed Weddings for sharing this shoot with us today.
“For this shoot, we collaborated with caterer, Linda Hamilton of Gather & Feast to recreate one of the most important parts of a wedding, the atmospheric evening wedding feast. We believe food is such an important part of your wedding and Linda creates the most amazing sharing platters and homespun dishes that fit in so well with our couples’ relaxed, sociable receptions.
Our shoot went so well that our models were genuinely enjoying themselves, and of course, we all enjoyed Linda’s food! The buzz we created was captured beautifully by the talented Charlotte of Three Flowers Photography, having worked together previously we knew she would be excited about our vision and bring it fully to life.
Instead of a photo booth we used our ‘Moongate’ foliage hoop that our bride and groom had fun posing in front of with their pet dog. Who doesn’t love a pet at a wedding? Then we created a small dance floor area with hanging tassel shades that section off an area in a large dry hire venue like the Railway Barn.
For foliage and flowers we concentrated our efforts on hanging installations above the tables, in this case, an old wooden gate! For such a large venue this is an easier and more cost effective way to add drama to your styling and leaves plenty of room on your tables for sharing platters.
The barn is one of our favourite venues as its so versatile, we love transforming it and it offers so much space as well as being in the middle of a vineyard!”
